Armenian and U.S. officials to visit proposed TRIPP route sites near Meghri this week

This week, a joint visit to Syunik is being organized with the participation of Armenian and U.S. officials, as work continues to turn the vision of the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” / TRIPP project in Armenia into reality. This was reported by the TRIPP Armenia Facebook page.

“Representing Armenia will be officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, while the U.S. side will be represented by U.S. Chargé d’Affaires David Allen and Dr. John Asconas, Senior Advisor for Policy Planning at the U.S. Department of State.

They will meet with local government representatives and community residents to discuss how TRIPP can strengthen regional connectivity and create new opportunities, while simultaneously supporting Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The officials will also visit proposed sites along the TRIPP route near Meghri.

The visit reflects the expanding Armenia-U.S. partnership and our shared commitment to ensuring peace, prosperity, and connectivity in the South Caucasus.”
